Be a hero contest! :: 02-09-08 14:35:42

1

Please note: Beta keys will not be given out untill a later to be determined date by DICE, so don't expect these within a few days.

As most of you probably know Ramon from i3D.net was at the Leipzig games convention where we gave away nearly 15.000 Battlefield Heroes posters! (for an example of the poster, see the bottom of the post)

Luckily I was able to bring back a few posters from Leipzig and now we're giving those posters to the community! We're giving away no less then 25 posters, full color B1 (100 x 70 cm)!

But that's not all! We've made a goodie pack for the 5 best entries. The goodie pack includes the following:

· Battlefield Heroes Poster (Provided by EA/DICE and i3D.net)

· Battlefield Heroes Beta key (this will be available once we receive our beta keys) (Provided by EA/DICE)

· Battlefield Bad Company Hand Grenade (Provided by EA/DICE)

· Battlefield bad Company Flip Flops (they leave a bad company print in soft surfaces!) (Provided by EA/DICE)

· Battlefield Bad Company Keychain (Provided by EA/DICE)

· Dragon Age “Sleeve” (Provided by EA/Bioware)

· Mousemat (we have 2 Command & Conquer 3 mousemats and 3 Hellgate London Mousemats) (Provided by EA)

The other 20 winners will receive:

· Battlefield Heroes Poster

· Battlefield Heroes Beta Key (this will be available once we receive our beta keys) (Provided by EA/DICE)

Now I’m sure you are all wondering WHAT you need to do to win this great prize?

It’s really simple! Go visit the contest thread on the i3D.net forums and answer the following question as creative as you can:

“I am a hero because…”

The most original, funny, witty, touching etc. will be awarded with a prize. So put some effort into it! (only 1 entry per person allowed)

What are you waiting for? Go visit the i3D.net forums and win this great prize!

GO TO THE CONTEST !

Cast your vote Bad Company :: 01-09-08 02:10:50

23

A new blog has been posted over on the Battlefield: Bad Company website

 today that lets the community decide on the next MP maps to hit the game.

Starting today we open up the possibility to vote to determine which two single player levels will be turned into unique maps for the multiplayer Conquest mode. This vote gives players the chance to revisit popular locations from the single player campaign, such as the golf course in Par For the Course, now in an intense multiplayer match. The two maps with the most votes by Tuesday, September 2nd will win. In addition, the Bad Company team at DICE will also choose an additional two maps for the Conquest mode. That makes FOUR new maps available to download for free this fall.

AIX Statistics :: 25-08-08 08:06:22
Aix

Hello all, you may have noticed the addition of two new logos above. We are happy to announce that i3D.net has graciously provided sponsorship for the brand new Aixstatistics.com! What is this crazy news you ask? Well, due to the hard work of super dev's R4ZOR49 and Ti_GER arn354, AIX 2.0 will launch with a central database for collating stats and ranks for server owners! Thanks very much to i3D.net for their amazing support. Be sure to check out their awesome game servers and services.

Be sure to visit our brand new sister site Aixstatistics.com developed and maintained by our very own R4ZOR49 (Kvec), Ti_GER arn354 (Tigercage), MAC-r (Teamfirestorm) and Blackcats (free GFX.) Their amazing work in this awesome AIX community we share is outstanding. It truly is a privelage to work with such a group of talented and well grounded individuals throughout this whole AIX experience and we can't wait to bring you AIX 2.0!

CDB

What this system is:

The central database(cdb) is a database that all aix servers can use to send stats. This service is free of charge to use however we do require a few systems to be in place on your server. You can read more about these further down.
The main cdb will hold everyones main ranks and awards so no mater what server you play on you keep your rank and awards.

Setup is easy once your server meets all requirements then you can apply to use our free cdb. Once we check to make sure your server meets our requirements we will then add your server and contact you to download and apply the files.

The main cdb will not rank bots in any way this is so all servers can keep there servers as they wish while playing (ie renaming bots).

Requirements
Hosts file Change.
All servers need a full upto date punk buster installed.
all servers need to apply and stream to PBBans | Always Quality over Quantity
all servers need to apply and stream to punkbusted.com: The Leading Gag Gifts Site on the Net

There will be more info come release time so stay tuned!

Heroes is :: 23-08-08 15:50:16
1
Battlefield Heroes producer Ben Cousins spoke with GamesIndustry, and
according to him DICE's freebie shooter has been released:
You may have seen that there was an announcement that the game was delayed - John Riccitiello mentioned that in the recent earnings call. What's interesting is that we never announced a date, we talked about the game being released in the summer of this year and that's still the case. Actually, we're in the closed beta already, so the game is already out and you can't delay a game that's already been released and already been played by people.
